HAMID KIANI

The author of this book, is an Iranian-Canadian creative writer and graphic designer, former journalist, social researcher, and cultural program illustrator and planner. Born in 1968, he is also a grandfather in exile.

"Zero Seconds" marks Kiani's twelfth title and his first inaugural publication in Canada, set to be released bilingually in 2026.

The English and Persian versions of these narratives are not mere translations; they are akin to siblings, each embodying its own distinct essence. Rather than simply conveying information, these stories evoke memories. Their intrinsic values, semantic foundations, and subtle nuances remain in harmony. Whether read in Persian or English, they act as mirrors that reflect light, guiding readers through various narrative layers toward the book's core.

In his native Persian, he captures the intricate metaphors of love, passion, and mysticism. This depth transcends logic, allowing him to project his inner thoughts onto his audience like a mirror. Thus,

"The mirror reveals nothing on its own; it is yourse to discover the truth within."

A Deep Dive into Discovery

Kiani's latest bilingual work, zero second, explores profound themes such as "Sacred Heresy," spiritual liberation, and the "Inverted Geography" of exile. Inspired by the freedom he found in Canada, this piece provides insightful reflections on the philosophy of creation and the universal principles that shape our existence.
As a voice of resistance in the Canadian literary community, Kiani seeks to bridge the ancient wisdom of Persian mysticism with modern clarity.
